Many of you have asked about our fun off-roading experience in PA. The North East Rivian Club (NERC) is pleased to announce our late fall 2024 Off-Roading event to take place on November 23, 2024.

This will be our 4th event in the past two years. These fall and spring events have proven very popular in the past with nearly 40 Rivian owners participating at our Spring 2024 event!

This fall event is going to be a ONE day event as follows:

Off-roading 101 instruction

Here’s an opportunity to meet and do something fun with other Rivian Owners.

Since many of you have never gone true off-roading or possibly taken a full size truck to the trails, for the third time we’ve partnered with Off Road-Consulting in PA for a fun filled & educational Off Road Event at Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area.

– 101 is guided instruction & trail lead. You’ll learn the basics of off-roading, how to handle your R1T, find out how capable it is and what you as a driver are capable of.

This 101 option is listed in the Off-Road consulting link below and we’ve secured a special price of $150.00 per vehicle/per day which is a $49 discount over rack prices.

Initially we can accommodate up to 12 vehicles however, if the event looks to be popular and more than 12 are interested in registering we should be able to add a second trainer/ trail guide so we will create a waitlist. We need to know sOOner rather than later and as a result reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The prices above do not include the daily park entrance fee which is $40.00 per vehicle/one day pass. There are no additional cost for passengers.

Here are some deets;

-When: Saturday, November 23, 2024 (101 Instruction)

-Where: Anthrocite Off-Road Adventure Area

4100 State Route 125

Coal Township, PA 17866

-Guide Service: Off Road Consulting

Paxinos, PA

If you are interested then the following information should answer most of your questions:

-Charging: All trucks should arrive in the morning with a minimum 50% charge to hit the trails for the day. The more charge the better! Nearby fast charging in Bloomsburg (35-40 minutes distance).

Electrify America DCFC

SHEETZ

2511 New Berwick Hwy, Bloomsburg, PA 17815

-Accommodations: Many of us have stayed the night before at the Best Western in Danville which is a very clean and economical option that also provides complimentary breakfast. You can obviously find other options and stay in nearby (35-40 minutes drive to AOAA) Bloomsburg or Danville. Both towns offer numerous hotel and dining options and the nearby EA chargers.

In an effort to have some group fun and make new friends, Friday evening before we will have group dining and drinks (location tbd).

-Tires/Wheels:

20” wheels work best but we have had 21” and 22” wheels participate. It is Highly recommended that you have a full sized spare especially if you have 21’s or 22’s. Recovery gear is not necessary as the Guide and myself have all required recovery gear should anyone get into a slight pickle. I have secured a spare 21″ & 22″ wheel from Rivian in the past and I will do my best to do the same again.

FYI: the instructors are very familiar with Rivian trucks and with the exception of a few flats and scratched rims, no damage has occured to any Rivian in prior off-roading events with Off-Road Consulting.
