The NorthEast Rivian Club (NERC) is pleased to announce our Spring 2025 Off-Roading event.
These events have proven very popular with over 100 Rivian owners participating in the past 4 outings!
This event is going to be a two day event as follows:
Day One-Off-roading 101 instruction
Day Two-Off-roading 201 instruction
Here’s an opportunity to meet and do something fun with other Rivian Owners.
Since many of you have never gone true off-roading or possibly taken a full size truck to the trails, for the third time we’ve partnered with Off Road-Consulting in PA for a fun filled & educational Off Road Event at Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area.
Day One- 101 is guided instruction & trail lead. You’ll learn the basics of off-roading, how to handle your R1T, find out how capable it is and what you as a driver are capable of.
This 101 option is listed in the Off-Road consulting link below and we’ve secured a special price of $150.00 per vehicle/per day which is a $49 discount over rack prices.
Initially we can accommodate up to 12 vehicles however, if the event looks to be popular and more than 12 are interested in registering we should be able to add a second trainer/ trail guide so we will create a waitlist. They need to know sOOner rather than later and as a result reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Day Two- 201 is for those who have previously completed the 101 or similar course and includes instruction to take your driving skills to the next level with advanced driving instruction and obstacles while still keeping you and your Rivian safe.
This 201 option is also listed in the Off-Road Consulting link below and again we’ve secured a special price of $150.00 per vehicle/per day which is a $49 discount over rack prices.
You can choose to do both days as well and really get your skills honed for the discounted price of $300.00.
The prices above do not include the daily park entrance fee which is $40.00 per vehicle/one day pass, and $60.00 per vehicle/two day pass. There are no additional cost for passengers.

If you are interested then the following information should answer most of your questions:
-Charging: All trucks should arrive in the morning with a minimum 50% charge to hit the trails for the day. The more charge the better! Nearby fast charging in Bloomsburg (35-40 minutes distance) which are surprisingly usually pretty good.
Electrify America DCFC
SHEETZ
2511 New Berwick Hwy, Bloomsburg, PA 17815
-Accommodations: Many of us have stayed at the Best Western in Danville which is a very clean and economical option that also provides complimentary breakfast. I’m already booked there. You can obviously find other options and stay in nearby (35-40 minutes drive to AOAA) Bloomsburg or Danville. Both towns offer numerous hotel and dining options and the nearby EA chargers.
Friday evening we will have group dining and drinks at Quaker Steak & Lube 211 Columbia Mall Dr, Bloomsburg, PA 17815
Saturday after our second day attendees usually head home to their families for the rest of the weekend.
-Tires/Wheels:
20” wheels work best but we have had 21” and a 22” wheels participate. It is Highly recommended that you have a full sized spare especially if you have 21’s or 22’s. Recovery gear is not necessary as the Guide and myself have all required recovery gear should anyone get into a slight pickle. I have secured a spare 21″ & 22″ wheel from Rivian in the past and I will do my best to do the same again.
FYI: the instructors are very familiar with Rivian trucks and with the exception of a few flats and scratched rims, no damage has occured to any Rivian in prior off-roading events with Off-Road Consulting and this will be our 5th event with them.
Community Pantry: It is also requested that you come with a bag of non-perishable foods that we will donate to the local pantry. We have done this at the last 3 off-road events and it was very much appreciated. Let’s show them once again that we care for their community members!
